On Friday, I had to go to Queens to practice organ at a church I've been subbing for for the past month. I usually go on my own (the commute from my house is about 2 hours), but thankfully my mom offered to drive me. We don't really drive much because finding a parking spot in nyc is kind of a pain, but when we do, it's always a treat. Our car is a manual, and unfortunately I'm not so great at driving manual, or stick as I like to call it, so car trips are far and few between.
We don't usually like driving through midtown because of the traffic but this time around she did, and I snapped some pics with my new Olympus Pen camera, from the back seat. NYC architecture is so diverse, yet they all blend in together very well. There is this one building though in midtown, which is about the same height as the Freedom tower, but the width of a toothpick. It's hideous, look it up, trust me, it looks terrible.
Anyway, hope you all are doing well. Have a good weekend!
Wonderful photos! I just looked up that building you mentioned.. it's. ... quite ... unique. ha.
ReplyDeleteHope you also had a lovely weekend :) 2hrs is quite a long commute, is this via the train?
